Almost 1,000 nonprofit leaders from across the state have cumulatively responded to these surveys. In both 2025 and 2026, hundreds of people convened in-person and virtually at The Boston Foundation for the reveal and subsequent discussion of the results, conducted by a panel of public nonprofit leaders.
Hearing these perspectives helped elevate the true role and costs nonprofits are carrying in the current political climate, and identified areas of strength to build from for the marathon ahead. We are also confident that the conversational takeaways helped inform bold action to ensure that nonprofits can continue to respond to community needs.
